Drifting is a story about fear, self preservation and a child's love for his Mother. William has been abused his entire life by his alcoholic father. His Mother, Rose, has also been a victim of this abuse. William longs for the protection of his Mother. She is torn between helping her only son and protecting herself. William struggles through the pain of the relationship always coming to his mother's side despite the consequences.
